Installed this on my own. Easy to install. Have had it hooked up for 2 days so far and pleased with how it works.

We are about to convert our hot water heater to a gas tankless unit and the plumber recommended we install a NUVO H20 home softener system. I did some research on the Internet and liked what I read. Next I did some searching for purchasing the unit and settled on purchasing it from the Pure Water Guys. This was very easy to install keeping room for operating the handle at the top to from between On and By-Pass. Also needed to keep room at the bottom for removing the filter housing. We had an older salt softener unit that failed so we are very happy not having to load up the salt. I wanted to install this system before we converted the hot water heater to give it time to condition the water and “clean” the pipes. Since I have experience working with PVC plumbing, I was able to install this myself with no problems. Now, when we take showers, I can feel the difference in the water and the smell of the water is so much better. The dishes even look different coming out of the dishwasher. We are very happy with this system.

This System is the answer to all of my problems with a Conventional Water Softener System. No heavy bags to pick up drag around then dispose of the empty bags. No electricity, no wasteful back flushing and most importantly basically maintenance free with the exception of the filter change. I installed the system myself in under an hour and after most of my hot water heater and plumbing was flushed of the original water we noticed immediate results. No more water spots on our drip dried glasses or silverware, better feeling skin and hair after showering, the water seemed to taste better and no added sodium to our diets! We have already recommended this system to our Family and Friends!

Since we started using it two weeks ago, appliances that were showing signs of complete blockage have actually started working again and are working better with each use. Would have been nice to know that there was a iron filter system combined with the one we bought before we did. Had to find out from a add you sent me after we already got the one we ordered.

With a new we'll the water can and will change with in a couple of months and depending on depth can change seasonally with rainfall in mind. My water increased in hardness and this system is not enough for it. Also keep in mind it will not reduce sulfur smelling water...

As we are in an area where the water is not all that bad to begin with, we were not expecting miracles. Since install, we have noticed the difference. Shower feels better, clothes are softer and the jets on the shower head are clearing up. The water spots have all but disappeared from the faucets. Only prob i had with the install was the new plumbing. I had never worked with the plex pipe before. Once it was explained to me how it worked, I had it installed and running in about an hour. Now the Mother-in-Law has one on order and guess who gets to put it in.

I was very sceptical at first before I bought this. (I spent about a month e-mailing the sales guy before I bought) So I eventually bought it. I always noticed a red ring around my toilet that would develop after approximately 5 days after cleaning. After I installed it the red ring never came back. The whole calcium disappearing without cleaning thing, I didn't notice a difference. It didn't leave my skin feeling slimy afterwards, which is a plus! I have yet to get a water test to tell the actual difference, but overall I would say Yes it works. I would recommend this product to another person.

I was a little afraid to take the plunge and order this product. However, I'm glad we did. Due to the way our water is plumbed, we could not use a salt water softener. I installed this system in a bedroom closet (I didn't want to put salt in a closet.). I did the work myself using pex. It wasn't that hard…kind of like using Legos. We've had it installed for 5 months now, and the original cartridge seems to still be working. (It's just my wife and me living here.) We live in OKC, and it is working for our water. The instructions say that your water's PH level needs to be above 7.2. I would assume this might have something to do with some of the bad reviews, so CHECK YOUR WATER'S PH LEVEL. :)
