Water Treatment for Hospitals, Dialysis & Laboratory Facilities

Hospitals, dialysis clinics, diagnostic labs, and pharmaceutical facilities all depend on water that meets a purity standard most commercial buildings never have to think about — and the consequences of getting it wrong range from failed equipment to failed compliance. We custom-engineer RO, UF, and DI systems sized to the water-quality standard your application actually requires.

Common reasons facilities call us

Signs it’s time to talk to a specialist:

  • Dialysis water testing outside AAMI-recommended limits
  • Lab equipment or assays affected by water purity drift
  • Central sterile / autoclave feed water carrying sediment or scale
  • No documented water-treatment plan ahead of a facility audit
  • Outgrowing a bench-top or single-point purification unit

Why Healthcare & Lab Water Is Different

Most commercial water problems are about taste, scale, or spotting. In healthcare and laboratory settings, water purity affects patient safety, test accuracy, and equipment that can’t be down.

Purity Standards

Dialysis, pharmaceutical, and laboratory applications are built around published water-quality standards — AAMI for dialysate, USP for purified/pharmaceutical water, and ASTM Type I/II/III for lab-grade water. We size systems around the standard your application requires.

Uptime & Reliability

A dialysis clinic or hospital sterile-processing department can’t simply wait on water treatment — systems are engineered with the redundancy and service support a critical facility needs.

Facility-Scale Engineering

Every application is different — source water, flow demand, and the specific purity target all change the right configuration. Systems are custom quoted, not sold off a price list.

Who This Is For

Real facilities we work with, each with a genuinely different water-treatment requirement:

Hospitals & Health Systems

Facility-wide water treatment, central sterile/autoclave feed water, and boiler feedwater.

Dialysis Centers & Clinics

RO systems sized for dialysate water quality, built around AAMI water-treatment guidelines.

Diagnostic & Clinical Labs

Purified water for lab equipment and assays — sized to ASTM Type I/II/III requirements.

Pharmaceutical & Compounding

Purified process water for manufacturing and compounding, sized to USP purified-water specifications.

Symptoms Worth a Water Test

If any of these sound familiar, it’s worth finding out what’s actually in your water before assuming a bigger system, or a different one, is the fix.

  • Dialysis water quality readings drifting toward AAMI limits
  • Lab results or reagent performance affected by water purity
  • Scale or sediment showing up in central sterile/autoclave feed water
  • Frequent filter or membrane replacement on an existing system
  • No documented, facility-wide water-treatment plan for an upcoming audit
  • Outgrowing a single bench-top or point-of-use purification unit

How Systems Are Built

Most healthcare and lab applications combine two or three stages, sized to your source water and the purity target you need — not a fixed package.

Pre-Treatment Sediment, chlorine & hardness

Protects downstream membranes and equipment from sediment, chlorine/chloramine, and scale-forming hardness before it reaches sensitive treatment stages.

Reverse Osmosis or Ultrafiltration Bulk purification

RO removes dissolved solids down to the ionic level — the primary stage for dialysis and pharmaceutical applications. UF is used where the goal is removing bacteria and particulates while retaining minerals.

Deionization (DI) Polishing Lab & ultrapure applications

Polishes RO output down toward the resistivity levels lab and diagnostic applications require, matched to ASTM Type I/II/III specifications.

Every application is different — a specialist confirms the right stage(s) and sizing from your water source, flow needs, and purity target.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer systems sized for dialysis water quality (AAMI)?

Yes — RO systems are custom-engineered around your source water and the AAMI water-treatment guidelines your dialysis application requires. Every site is sized individually, not sold off a price list.

Can you supply lab-grade (Type I/II/III) water systems?

Yes. RO plus DI polishing stages are configured to reach the resistivity level your lab equipment or assays require, matched to ASTM Type I/II/III specifications.

Do you work with hospitals directly, or only through a distributor?

We work directly with hospitals, dialysis clinics, laboratories, and pharmaceutical facilities. A specialist reviews your application and follows up personally.

Why isn’t pricing shown on this page?

These are custom-engineered systems — source water quality, required flow rate, and purity target all change the configuration and cost. Submit the quote form and you’ll get options sized to your actual application.

What information do you need to quote a system?

Your facility type, approximate daily volume, source water (municipal or well), and the purity standard you’re targeting (AAMI, USP, or a specific ASTM lab-water type). A recent water test helps but isn’t required to start.

What happens after I request a quote?

A water specialist reviews your submission and follows up personally — typically within 1 business day — to talk through your application before recommending anything.
